An Eventful Weekend

This was the weekend for the Upward Bound Olympics. This year they were held on campus, and the students had a lot of fun. The weekend started off on Friday with an admissions tour of Northern. Following that was the kick-off of the Olympics. This went on through Saturday with a dance to follow. Below is the schedule of events.

Schedule of events:
Friday night was a night of preparation. They voted on the prizes, came up with their names, and made team posters. Following that a game of Family Feud was played.

Saturday was when the games really began. Session one was all about the brain busters: Sudoku, crossword puzzles, word searches, and riddles. Session two was all about board games: Checkers, Pictionary, Scategories, and Catch Phrase. Session 4 was all about the silly games: Dizzy Stick, Egg Race, Bean Bag Toss, Chubby Bunny, and Tug-o-War.

There were also a few counselor challenges:
Take a Raw egg or hard egg and hit it against the head, and the team with the raw egg got 5 points for the team.
Eat 4 crackers, whistle, then drink water or pop and try to burp
